UGC NET December 2024 Live: Notification, registration, expected exam dates

On the notification, the commission will mention the start and end dates of registration, dates of correction of the form, admit card, examination city slip, tentative dates of the examination and others details. The detailed schedule by subject will be published later.

Recently, the board announced that from the December 2024 session, Ayurvedic Biology will be added as a subject in the UGC NET exam. The detailed syllabus of the subject can be viewed at ugcnetonline.in, the commission said.

How to Apply for December UGC NET Exam

1. Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Open the application link for the December 2025 exam.
3. Complete the registration process.
4. Log in to your account and complete the application form
5. Upload documents and pay exam fees
6. Submit the form and save a copy of the confirmation page.

The last UGC NET exam was held on August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 and September 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2024.

A total of 11,21,225 candidates registered for the exam, but only 6,84,224 of them appeared for the June UGC NET re-exam. Of the registered candidates, 6,35,588 were women, 4,85,578 were men and 59 were candidates of the third gender.

A total of 4,970 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), 53,694 for Assistant Professor only and 1,12,070 for PhD admissions only.
