Dragon Ball Daima Takes a Look at Goku as the World’s Worst Father (And the Internet Is Erupting)

Dragon Ball Daimalike almost everyone Dragon Ball project, has Son Goku front and center in this new anime adaptation which was one of the last from late creator Akira Toriyama.. Even though Goku’s power level could make him one of the most powerful fighters in the universe, most anime fans agree that the Saiyan warrior won’t be winning the ”award” any time soon. father of the year. Throughout the Shonen series, for one reason or another, Goku has not been there to raise his children and this is a fact that is brought up in that of Daima last episode. Needless to say, the new anime series is more than willing to poke fun at Goku’s lack of parental influence.

Goku: the worst father in the world

Questioning Goku’s age, Panzy wonders how the hell he was able to be a successful parent. Since Son has absolutely no filter, the Z-Fighter is more than willing to say bluntly that he wasn’t very involved in Gohan or Goten’s upbringing. It’s a long-standing joke that Goku isn’t exactly “father of the year” material, but seeing him presented here has thrown many anime fans for a loop. If you want to see the scene in question, you can click on the video below.

Proof of Goku’s deadbeat father status

To begin, we should look at Goku’s relationship with his eldest son Gohan.. In addition to constantly putting Gohan in danger, he missed out on a good portion of his son’s life because he was dead and he asked his fellow Z-Fighters not to bring him back from the dead. When it came to instances like the Cell Games, Goku was more than willing to put the future of the world on Gohan’s shoulders, even going so far as to throw Cell a Senzu Bean to make it a “fair fight “. While Gohan and Goku may be on good terms these days, it’s hard to deny that fighting and training seem to come first for the anime father.

In Goten’s cast, it sometimes seems like Goku doesn’t know his youngest son exists. The first time they met was during the Buu Saga, with Goten already being a child before Goku returned to the land of the living. While Goku would come back to life and stay on his farm after Kid Buu’s death, the amount of time he actually spent interacting with Goten is questionable.

While Daima hasn’t officially clarified whether she actually heard the Internet in relation to Goku’s terrible parenting skills, the anime series certainly makes it seem like it did with this interaction. With Dragon Ball Daima With more than a few episodes left in the tank before the end, it should be interesting to see what other moves against Goku come in the new anime.
