Anantapur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the residence of former Madanapalle Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Murali at Prasanthi Nagar in Madanapalle town, as well as his son’s residence in Tirupati, on charges of disproportionate assets. The searches are part of an ongoing investigation into complaints of misconduct involving the former RDO, who allegedly helped YSRC leaders acquire government land by falsifying records. This investigation follows a fire that broke out at the Madanapalle RDO premises on July 21, during which important land records were destroyed. The CID is investigating the incident and several arrests have already been made. The ACB searches are part of a wider probe into Murali’s alleged role in illegal land deals.

Besides Murali’s residence, ACB teams also conducted searches at the homes of other revenue officials in Madanapalle area.
