Under Modi’s leadership, India emerges as a growing nation: chief minister

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has become a rapidly growing nation with Madhya Pradesh progressing rapidly to become a future-ready state. Madhya Pradesh is actively contributing to Prime Minister Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed, self-reliant and strong nation. To take a step in this direction, the state organized the regional industrial conclave in Ujjain, inviting eminent industrialists from across the country to inspire local entrepreneurs and set up large industrial units within the state. The recent Madhya Pradesh National Mining Conclave proved to be a remarkable milestone, yielding investment proposals totaling Rs 19,650 crore from 11 key industrial institutions in two days – an unprecedented achievement for the state .

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that the mining sector has immense economic potential. It also has the potential to generate employment and rapidly accelerate the country’s economy. By becoming self-reliant in the mining sector, we can also save a lot of foreign exchange. The mining sector will be a considerable force in times of global instability. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, a new revolution has taken place in the country’s mining sector. At the mining conclave organized in Bhopal, thoughts on topics such as acceleration of mineral exploration, mineral processing, use of new technologies and environmental protection will play an important role in identifying and implementing necessary policy reforms in the mining sector. Madhya Pradesh has immense potential to become the mining capital of the country.

Chief Minister Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is one of the major mining states in the country, with a share of 20 per cent in the country’s total mines. The state ranks first in the nation in manganese and copper ore production, second in phosphate rock production, third in limestone production, and fourth in coal production. The Malazkhand copper mine in the state is the largest copper mine in India. 5 to 10,000 tonnes of copper are extracted there every day. 70 percent of India’s total copper reserves are in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is also the diamond state of the country.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said arrangements were being made for digital monitoring of mines and mining products in the state. There are also plans to install an AI-based iCheckgate to stop illegal mining and transportation. Madhya Pradesh ranks first nationally in terms of mineral block auctions. 78 mineral blocks were successfully auctioned in Madhya Pradesh, the highest in the country. Mining revenues have doubled in the last 5 years thanks to clean intentions and transparent policies. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we have decided to celebrate the year 2025 as the Year of Industry in the state. By organizing regional industrial conclaves in the state and organizing road shows in metropolitan cities outside the state, while increasing investment opportunities on the one hand, the role of the Global Investors Summit which held in February 2025 is also being prepared.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that along with progress, we also take care of nature. The well-being of trees, plants, rivers, animals and future generations is an important element of our mining policies. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work system should be such that Mother Earth always remains resourceful. Apart from proteins and carbohydrates, other minerals play an important role in the development of our body, similarly, minerals also play a very important role in the development of India. It is our misfortune that long after independence, our governments did not adopt far-sighted policies for proper exploitation, refining and processing of this immense wealth.

Being the heart of the country and having strong rail and road connectivity, mining in Madhya Pradesh means direct and rapid access to mining products in all parts of the country. This is a huge strategic location advantage. Owing to the abundance of resources, our investment-friendly policies and strong infrastructure, the potential for investment and development of the mining industry in Madhya Pradesh is unlimited.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that due to the intentions and policies of the dual-engine government of the Center and the State, the mining industry in the State is progressing rapidly, resulting in an increase in revenue mining at a compound annual growth rate. by 19 percent over the past four years. The turnover in FY2020 was Rs 5,000 crore, which increased to over Rs 10,000 crore in 2024. We have managed to double the revenue generated from the mining sector in the last 5 years . Recently, Madhya Pradesh secured the top position nationally in mineral block auctions. We also received second prize for the auction of iron ore, limestone and bauxite mines. These achievements are living proof of our government’s far-sighted, transparent and rapid policies. Work is being carried out in mission mode for refinement, refinement, promotion and conservation of minerals in the State.
