Three horses to be included in a hat-trick on Sunday. . .

Bill Joyce (1.18 Carlisle)

Bill Joyce was bought for £225,000 after winning a point and looked an exciting prospect as he comfortably won two bumpers by four and a quarter lengths and eight and a half lengths. He was well backed for the Champion Bumper the day before and didn’t run as expected, but he remains a smart guy for the season and can make a winning debut. The O’Neill yard won this race with Johnnywho last year.

Terresita (2.53 Carlisle)

Galia Des Liteaux will not be suited to this drop trip and would probably prefer heavier conditions, so with not much between the others, the vote goes to the more experienced Terrisita. She was improving last season and looked poised to win her last start before losing two outs (the winner won again on Saturday). Her jump is usually pretty solid and she can make up for it here.

Snipe (3.23 Carlisle)

Snipe improved well last season and accounted well for his reappearance behind race-fit Wasdell Dundalk over three miles last month, with a last-minute error not helping his cause. He will have no problem with the longer trip and should reverse his form with this rival on 3lb better terms.
