The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will completely change in the first three months of 2025

Generally, the Social Security payment schedule offers five rounds of payments based on which program beneficiaries are eligible for, the date they first applied for benefits and, in some cases, the date of their birth. These payment cycles begin on the first day of the month for SSI recipients, followed by the third day of the month for RSDI recipients who claimed their first Social Security check before May 1997. Once these payments are made, the federal agency sends three more payments. Payment cycles occur on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of the month for RSDI beneficiaries who received benefits after 1997.

However, there are some months when this regular schedule changes, as will be the case during the first three months of 2025. The main changes will occur for financial aid recipients. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program because beneficiaries will not receive their regular benefits on the first day of each month. Rather, they will receive them on different payment dates, such as January 1, February 1, and March 1, all falling during weekends or holidays. How much money will SSI recipients receive in the coming months?
