Provincial police are investigating another home invasion in Tay Township.

This time, Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers responded early Monday morning to a reported home invasion on Second Avenue in Port McNicoll.

Although residents were not injured following the 2 a.m. incident, OPP emergency response, tactical and rescue teams and the canine unit were called on scene to help search for suspects.

The investigation is now being led by the detachment’s major crimes unit, with support from the forensic identification unit.

Police did not say whether this incident was related to a similar crime that occurred at a Home of Midland Bay Woods on October 25.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious or who lives in the area and has exterior/door surveillance cameras to contact police at (888) 310-1122 or (email protected).

Additionally, investigators would like to speak with anyone who was driving in the area at the time and who may have dashcam footage or saw something suspicious.
