North Township police rescue deer stuck in fence

NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) – North Canton police officers rescued a deer from a fence Saturday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the North Canton Police Department, at approximately 8:37 a.m., Ofc. Knam and Sgt. Buzzard saved a deer stuck in a fence.

Knam is “no stranger to animal rescue,” according to the post.

Knam is known in the department as the duck recovery expert for how often he is on duty when ducklings fall into storm drains, the post states.

“You never really know what the day will bring in this profession,” the message reads.
