Lucky Aiyeditawa of Ondo State, while briefing journalists at the end of the Council meeting, said the NEC had established a committee headed by Governor Bassey Otu of Cross Rivers State to explore mechanisms for deepening state participation in electricity production.

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, speaking on the state police issue, announced that Adamawa, Kwara and Kebbi and the FCT are yet to convey their positions to the Police Council of ‘State.

He said 33 states had already submitted their positions.
