FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — It is estimated that Americans use 12 different cosmetic products per day. These products contain dozens of unique ingredients containing harmful chemicals.

President Joe Biden signed the Cosmetics Regulatory Modernization Act, a law that takes effect next month.

This is the first significant update to cosmetic regulations in almost 90 years.
