According to CEC President Angelica Caraman, threats were received in six polling stations abroad: in Brasov, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Kaiserslautern, Northampton and Liverpool. After inspections, only those in Kaiserslautern, Brasov and Bucharest were reopened.

According to her, two polling stations in the village of Varnita in Moldova, where unrecognized residents of Transnistria vote, were closed for the same reason.
