Election fever continues to grip party workers in Jamshedpur even days after the polls, as near the Jamshedpur Co-operative College (JCC) strong room have become centers of political activity and speculation. While the fight for Jamshedpur assembly seats appears to be limited to a tussle between the NDA and INDI, these camps are alive with discussions over the calculations and results of the elections.

Camps set up by the BJP, Congress, JDU and independent candidate Shiv Shanker Singh have surrounded the strong room since Sunday. While Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Ananya Mittal ensured smooth counting of votes, political parties are gearing up for a big “show of force” in front of the strong room on November 23, the counting day .

Counting arrangements for six constituencies: The counting of votes for six constituencies – Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West and Jugsalai – will take place on November 23. Separate counting tables have been set up for each constituency to ensure a smooth process. .

The BJP camp near JCC is bustling with activities, offering indoor games like carrom and ludo to keep workers engaged. Party leaders and workers are often seen strategizing and engaging in election-related discussions.

“Our camp has become a bustling center these days. Senior leaders visit regularly to meet workers and discuss elections. We are confident of getting the seat back. In fact, we have already started planning for the November 23 celebrations after the results. Our tent was even set up according to Vastu principles,” said Rajesh Pathak, a BJP worker. The camp also provides snacks and water to its supporters.

The Congress camp has arranged drinking water and rest facilities, along with chairs set up for supporters. Party activists remain engrossed in discussions about their prospects, which are locked in EVMs kept in the strong room.

“Based on the information coming from Jamshedpur East, we are confident that Ajoy Kumar, our candidate from Jamshedpur East, will emerge victorious. Political analysts in the city have expressed similar confidence in his victory, and we are assured of his success,” said a Congress official. He highlighted the hard work done by party members during the campaign to mobilize voters.

Across Jamshedpur, discussions on the fate of candidates for the Vidhan Sabha elections are in full swing. Political analysts and supporters debate possible outcomes as tension mounts as counting day approaches.

“Ajoy Jee gave a tough fight to his opponents and people showed faith in Rahul Gandhi’s leadership. We are confident that the Congress candidates will perform well across the state,” another Congress leader said, emphasizing their optimism over the results.

As the countdown to November 23 continues, vault camps are not only physical spaces but also centers of excitement, speculation, and planning for what lies ahead. Both the BJP and the Congress are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for a crucial day that could determine their political fortunes.
