Healthcare CEOs continue to avoid Trump

Thanks to federal laws in this country, we can track how much money someone individually gives to political candidates. It’s particularly instructive to know where business leaders invest their money: It indicates their politics, which affects how they run their businesses and what they want to get out of federal policymaking.

When it comes to CEOs of major hospital systems and health insurance companies, a large majority either don’t give money to presidential campaigns or only give to their companies’ political action committees. And for the rare people who donate to a presidential campaign, it’s only up to Vice President Harris – once again, healthcare executives are completely avoiding any connection to former President Trump.
