However, upon checking the rest of the site, officers found what police described as “a quantity” of horse equipment, including rugs and helmets, which were identified as stolen goods.

Avon and Somerset Police said the items had already been returned to their rightful owners, but they were still searching for the owner of the ornamental statues believed to have been stolen.

Anyone with information about suspicious activity at the site or who recognized the statues was asked to contact law enforcement.
