Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill reignites feud with Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles

There is an ongoing debate in the NFL about who is the fastest player on the field. Star receiver for the Miami Dolphins Hill Tyreek thinks it’s him. While there have been rumors and suggestions of races to be had between players making this claim, it has yet to come to fruition.

Hill walked his talk, as the saying goes. He competed in a 60 meter track event in March 2023 and took first place with a time of 6.70 seconds.

Although Hill is not focused on track competitions, he has shown incredible speed.

Fast forward to March 2024, when Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles has drawn the ire of most professional athletes. He was asked about the progress of the NBA Finalsand alluded to American sports calling themselves “world champions.”

“I have to watch the NBA Finals, and they have the world champion on their heads. World champion of what? » Lyles declared at the time. “The United States? Don’t get me wrong. I like the United States sometimes, but it’s not the world. It’s not the world,” Lyles said.

The entire sports world began to retaliate against Lyles, especially those in the NBA given that many professional basketball players come from other countries. Lyles’ comments also reached the NFLwhere Hill not only took umbrage with his comments, but also said he could beat Lyles in a race.

Hill declared“For him to say we’re not world champions of our sport, come on, bruh, just talk about what you know, and that’s the track.”

“I would beat Noah Lyles” Hill said. “I wouldn’t beat him by much, but I would beat Noah Lyles.”

Lyles finally responded with“What’s the cheetah football guy? Well, I don’t remember his name… I’d coach Tyreek Hill to run track.”

Although Hill and Lyles did not race and both gave up on shooting each other, Hill has now reignited the feud.

Lyles agreed to a race with popular streamer IShowSpeed, and the streamer was close to beating Lyles. Naturally, this prompted a response from Hill, who added a caption: “And the track athletes think he beat me.”

Hill completed the caption with three laughing emojis. Interestingly, IShowSpeed challenged Hill to a race earlier this season, which Hill denied. It would be interesting to see if IShowSpeed could beat Hill considering he was about to beat an Olympic gold medalist.

Hill is clearly “trolling” because he says he uses his X page specifically for this. However, Hill could also take one last shot at seeing if Lyles will take the bait and pilot the Dolphins speedster.
