Press release

NORTH MANCHESTER — Grocery chain Neighborhood Fresh raised funds throughout October for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

The four-store chain participates in the Coors Light Pin Up program every year and this year raised more than $20,000.

Store locations include: North Manchester, Gas City, North Webster and Syracuse, all in Indiana.

The North Manchester store was the winning store this year with funds raised in excess of $8,000. Neighborhood Fresh employee Regina Harris personally raised $3,000 by asking for financial support from local businesses in the North Manchester area. All money raised goes directly to the hospital.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does not have a billing department and does not charge families for its services. The hospital has pushed childhood disease and cancer survival rates to over 80%.

The hospital was founded by the late actor Danny Thomas in 1962 and his children continue its mission to this day.
