ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – Police say shots were fired during a drug raid this morning in Rocky Mount.

Police say it happened around 8:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Windsor Street while their narcotics unit was executing a search warrant at the home.

The shooting is being treated as an officer-involved shooting. Police said the person struck by the gunfire had injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No officers were injured and police said the SBI will now lead the investigation into the shooting.
