NFL Picks, Week 11 Score Predictions: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders

The NFL’s Week 11 slate features some marquee matchups, and fans won’t have to wait long as one of the biggest takes place on Thursday night at the Linc.

The soaring Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) welcomes rookie phenom Jayden Daniels and Washington Commanders (7-3) in a showdown for the split atop the NFC East standings.

The Eagles are riding a five-game winning streak, with quarterback Jalen Hurts playing at an MVP level again and the defense stifling opponents, now No. 4 in the NFL in opponent’s offensive points allowed per game (16.6).

Washington may be ahead of schedule with Daniels and new head coach Dan Quinn, but their work balance has been equally impressive. They switched to a defensive stop to stun the Pittsburgh Steelers and improvement to 8-2 last week. Instead, they have the difficult task of traveling for a short week to try to shake off their first loss since Week 6.

The Eagles have the advantage on sports betting, favored by 3.5 points according to BetMGM. Here’s what the experts are saying, along with score predictions, for what could be a straightforward Thursday night game:

NFL Picks, Predictions Week 11: Eagles vs. Commanders

Iyer: “The Commanders defense has overperformed under coach Dan Quinn, but they are still vulnerable to downfield passes. The Eagles have been hot with Jalen Hurts reaching out and stretching the field. Jayden Daniels can respond with big plays of his own, playing off his team’s traditional solid offense. Philadelphia has a little more firepower to survive Washington in a home-ice thriller.

Bender: “This is a fun NFC East matchup in the Thursday Night Football window between two elite NFC offenses. Jayden Daniels has been outstanding on the road this season, with a 76.9 percent completion percentage, seven touchdowns and one interception. Can Washington generate enough of a running game against a defense that has only allowed 100 rushing yards once during a five-game winning streak? Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley keep the Eagles in the race for the NFC’s top seed.

Cluff: “The commanders are 7-3. The Eagles are 7-2. The difference between these teams at the moment? Philadelphia is on a five-game winning streak. The Commanders offense won’t be able to keep up with Jalen Hurts.

Johnson: “NFL Week 11 kicks off by far with the best game on the slate, an NFC East duel between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles. Washington is coming off a loss, although it faced much better competition against the Pittsburgh Steelers than Philadelphia did against Dallas. Although both defenses have played pretty well this season, the offensive firepower of both teams will dictate this matchup. It will probably come down to the final possessions, but we have Jayden Daniels delivering an MVP-caliber game in a decisive victory.

Rolf: “The advantage here goes to the home team and the one with the best defense. The Eagles should also have the benefit of having a veteran quarterback playing on a short week, but the coaching upside likely lies with Washington and Dan Quinn. This shouldn’t be another shootout like the one we saw last Thursday, but it does portend another close game.

Consensus: Eagles 27, Commanders 23
