When you’re about to tap into an empty net, you don’t expect a teammate to be the one to block the shot in some way.

But that’s exactly what happened to Cole Palmer when an almost certain goal was denied by Noni Madueke.

Some might say Madueke couldn’t do anything and in fairness he tried to get out of the way, but it seems odd that he ran so close to Palmer in the first place.

With just a 1-0 lead, Chelsea really could have done with that crucial second.

Madueke could well owe Palmer a drink, or even two if Leicester find the equalizer.
