PS5 Pro release is just days away, with over 50 games set to take advantage of the new and improved hardware at launch. Among them are two incredibly popular titles from the PlayStation “rival” Xbox Game Studios.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo IV get enhanced PS5 Pro versions on console launch day

A recent post on the PlayStation Blog revealed the full list of PS5 Pro enhanced games coming on console launch day. Anticipated PS5 hits are here, including Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. A little more surprising, but still expected, is the inclusion of two Activision Blizzard titles.

PS5 Pro players will be able to enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo VI when the console launches on November 7, 2024. Details on how the two games will use the new hardware have not yet been revealed.

This is the first time we’ve heard of an enhanced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update for PS5 Pro. How the console will improve its visuals is a mystery. However, it may be safe to assume that ray tracing won’t be an option yet since it’s currently absent on PC. What to expect is that the console uses PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to increase its graphical fidelity while maintaining a rock-solid 60 frames per second.

The improved PS5 Pro version of Diablo VI was confirmed earlier last month by the franchise’s general manager, Rod Fergusson. He didn’t have much to say about the update, but said details would come “at a later date.”

PS5 Pro improvements are not exclusive to PlayStation Studios titles. Several third-party games will support the enhanced console at launch. This includes hits like Fortnite, NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy.
