Oxfordshire County Council launches adolescent mental health app

Tellmi will allow internal advisors to step in to support high-risk users when needed.

Users will also have access to more than 700 local crisis specialists and support services through its directory feature.

Councilor Nathan Ley, OCC’s head of public health, said: “This app will be available free of charge to support all young people in secondary schools across Oxfordshire and local organizations who would like more support to help them respond to the young people’s concerns about mental health and well-being. “

Young people aged 11 to 18 will be able to use the application.

Kerstyn Comley, co-CEO of Tellmi, said the company “looked forward to working closely” with schools and other organizations across the county to “build trust” and “improve outcomes for young people”.

“In addition to our digital service, we will be running outreach activities including awareness campaigns, school resources, workshops and training for anyone working directly with young people,” she added.
