Panic Playdate announced a handful of new games and updates to existing titles along with a full slate of titles for Season 2. While some of the new games will appear before the end of 2024, the new season and others will not will only appear next year.

The video covering the Fall 2024 Playdate update initially focused on upcoming games available outside of Season 2. Lukas Wolski’s The Owl’s Embrace The platform game will launch in late 2025 and appeared first in the showcase. After that the next adventure game Comet appeared. This is still only listed as “coming soon”. Office chair curlinga curling game in which you use rolling and swivel chairs instead of stones, will also be “coming soon.” The word puzzle game will debut on November 26, 2024. Devils on the Moon Pinball is another 2025 version that appeared in the showcase afterwards.

The games Under the castle, Rowbot Rally, And Root Bear will also receive updates with new content this year. THE Under the castle the update is live now. THE Rowing robot rally the first will follow on December 17, 2024. There is no launch window beyond 2024 for the Root Bear A.

As for Playdate Season 2, it ended after 12 minutes. System owners will be able to purchase the new season pass from the catalog in 2025, but there is no pricing yet. These games will be rolled out in 2025, just like the first season.
