“A national police dive team, search and rescue services, a fast water rescue boat, kayaks, drones, a helicopter and many other volunteers including colleagues from the Defense Force missing man, participated in the search for the man,” he said.

The man’s body was found by his family.

“Police extend their condolences to this man’s family and friends during this difficult time and are receiving support,” Gurney said.

“On behalf of the police, I would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved in the efforts to bring this man home, especially his family members and colleagues.

The death does not appear suspicious and has been reported to the coroner.
