Parliament disrupted by water shortage

Parliament was a shadow of a usually busy body, as many offices were closed after the building suffered a severe water shortage. Several Parliament workers and parliamentarians received messages urging them to stay away until the water shortage is resolved. However, later in the day, the National Water and Sewerage Company explained that there had been a temporary closure due to renovation work on the pipes supplying Parliament and several nearby buildings.
