Megyn Kelly presents herself as a full-fledged MAGA by rallying behind Trump

nine years ago Donald Trump accused Megyn Kelly to have “blood coming out of his eyes, blood is coming out of her everywhere» after his first debate as a Republican presidential candidate in 2015.

What a difference a decade makes: Now, the former Fox News anchor will rally alongside her old foe Monday night in Pittsburgh.

In the latest episode of her podcast, Kelly said she will do something she’s “never done before” when she campaigns with Trump on Monday night.

Trump, or at least his campaign, appears to believe his help is needed to win over a certain type of female voter during his final stop in the crucial state of Pennsylvania.

As she explained, the Trump campaign contacted her directly over the weekend with an invitation she “never expected” to speak on Trump’s behalf.

“I will be proud to explain to this audience, and beyond, why I think it is absolutely essential that he wins this election,” Kelly said.

This decision by the Trump campaign suggests a recognition of the weakness of its appeal to women voters. Last week, Kelly publicly criticized the campaign for its “fraternal” rally at Madison Square Garden, asking, “Don’t they have women to advise their campaign?”

She complained in fear that it might cause her to lose.

Kelly has been a staunch supporter of Trump during this campaign – and a even stronger criticism of Kamala Harris. She recently defended Trump’s comments about putting Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad and disguised as literal trash for Halloween in a performative display of MAGA solidarity. This is a remarkable development considering their contentious history dating back to that 2015 debate.

Her first question that evening highlighted Trump’s history of calling women “fat pigs, dogs, rednecks and disgusting animals.” And Trump didn’t appreciate the line of questioning, lashing out at Kelly in the days that followed. seeming to suggest she had her period and call she is a “bimbo” on Twitter.

In 2023, Kelly was clear that the bad blood, so to speak, was behind them. But then, as recently as last March, Trump said it wrong from his rally stage in Georgia.

“Megyn Kelly. May she rest in peace,” Trump joked before adding, “She’s kind of making a career out of pretending she likes me.” »

Trump turned to another former Fox anchor, Tucker Carlson as a crucial accessory also during his last minute gatherings. He appeared at the Madison Square Garden rally in New York on the penultimate weekend of the campaign and at an event in Duluth, Georgia, where Carlson, rather than appealing to female voters, launched into a crazy rant“When dad comes home, do you know what he says? “You’ve been a bad girl.” You have been a bad little girl and you are being spanked vigorously.
