What is the story?

At the MARLOW MURDER CLUB one summer evening, a retired archaeologist named Judith Potts (Samantha Bond) swims in the river behind her house. She hears gunshots and quickly runs home to call the police. His neighbor was shot; and since Judith knows a thing or two about digging up evidence, she does her own sweeping, finding signs of foul play. When the police take her out of the game, Judith calls on women in the community to help her dig deeper. Will they find answers? Or will they hinder an official investigation?

A charming mystery with superb female leads, this series builds slowly, but doesn’t rely on shock to create intrigue. Marlow’s Murder Club is not a catchy, dark and violent thriller. No, here’s a cozy English mystery, full of local characters who have plenty of time on their hands to investigate a kerfuffle.

A sip of tea, a biscuit and a cat curled up on your lap are the best accompaniments to this beautifully executed mystery series. Families, sensitive viewers, and young teens who like mysteries that don’t contain a lot of menace or passionate intensity will enjoy this show the most.
