The Rotary Club of Osoyoos raised $33,000 for community programs through its Lobster on the Beach fundraiser in September.

On Monday, in a post on social networks, the club announced their victory.

“Thanks to the generous support of our community, we raised $33,000 at Lobster on the Beach, benefitting our community and beyond,” the post read.

The fundraising event included Nova Scotia lobster meals, a live auction, a silent auction and a 50/50 draw.

Funds raised will be donated to community programs and initiatives throughout the year.
