Chiefs fans embark on trip to Buffalo ahead of AFC showdown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Chiefs Kingdom is heading to Buffalo!

On Friday, Southwest Airlines added a nonstop flight before Sunday’s highly anticipated game.

Flight crews told KCTV5 the flight was full, with 175 seats.

William Nesbit was one of the passengers. He told KCTV5 that this weekend was the first time he went to a Chiefs game away from Arrowhead.

“I’m excited,” Nesbit said. “I can’t wait to see Bills Stadium and go there. I know they’re passionate like us, but they probably hate us, which is okay.

This is passengers Evan Owsley and Krystal Young’s first time in Buffalo.

“We’re big Chiefs fans and we’re going to root for them to beat Josh Allen and the Bills,” Owsley said.

They also seek to compare the Chiefs’ Kingdom to the Bills Mafia.

“I think the atmosphere is going to be great,” Young said. “I’m really excited to see how it compares to Arrowhead.”

They hope to fly home with Kansas City 10-0.

“Hopefully our defense can deal with all the injuries on offense and maintain an undefeated season,” Owsley said.

“I’m confident,” Nesbit said. “Obviously it hurts to lose Butker because he had a 60-yard dash without a problem, but I think we should be able to win.”

Delta Airlines also added a nonstop flight to Buffalo on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
