McDonald’s is removing eight popular items from its menu, a move that is sure to leave some customers unhappy.

The changes come as the fast food chain prepares to introduce its new Christmas menu.

The changes are set to take place on Tuesday November 19, meaning some popular options will disappear from UK McDonald’s restaurants.

Among those to be removed is the McCrispy, which debuted last August, The Sun reports.

The Double Big Mac is also being discontinued, despite its recent return to the menu.

Sweet treats and drinks are also on the agenda. The M&M McFlurry, Marshmallow Latte, and Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate are all being kicked out, alongside several other items.

Here is a breakdown of the favorites at the start:

• Cheese Bites (£2.49) and Cheese Bites Sharebox (£6.79)
• Toasted Marshmallow Latte (£2.59)
• Hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow (£2.19)
• McCrispy Deluxe (£5.99)
• McCrispy Deluxe Medium Meal (£7.79)
• Halloween M&M’s McFlurry (£2.19) and Mini version (£1.59)
• Caramel Apple Tart (£1.99)
• Single Serve Mini Hash Browns (£1.49) and Sharebox (£2.99)
• Double Big Mac (£5.39) and Double Big Mac Meal (£7.19)

Although all of the above items are being removed, McDonald’s regularly updates its menu to make room for seasonal or special items.

And, starting Wednesday, November 20, the chain’s Christmas menu will feature 12 new options.

Highlights include Terry’s Chocolate Orange Tart (£1.99) and Cheesy McCrispy (£5.99).

The Big Tasty also returns after leaving in March. Customers can choose the standard version for £7.59 or the one with bacon for £8.39.

For dessert lovers, Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry is making a comeback, alongside the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry in regular (£2.19) and mini (£1.59) sizes.

Other festive items include Cheese Melt Dippers, Galaxy Caramel Latte and new Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate (£2.69 each).
