The investigation began three months ago when 19-year-old Mischa Johnson disappeared from Oahu, Hawaii. Marianna says she and Mischa planned to meet for dinner the evening of July 12 to celebrate their pregnancy at the same time. Mischa was about six months pregnant and Marianna had just announced that she was also pregnant.

Marianna says Mischa never showed up at the restaurant for their dinner and when she texted her sister to ask where she was, she received this response: “The house wasn’t feeling good, sorry “.

“That doesn’t sound like my sister,” Marianna said. She also told Dateline that the family continued to receive text messages from Mischa’s phone until August 1, but they did not appear to be in Mischa’s usual style of text messages, either in terms of tone or punctuation. .

According to McCaskill, Pfc. Johnson is in “pretrial detention pending a preliminary hearing.” McCaskill said in his email to Dateline that this is necessary before the charges can be referred for trial at a general court martial. “If the charges are dismissed, FPC.
