Trump’s ‘border czar’ refutes ‘The View’ claim that US citizens will be deported in mass expulsion policy

President-elect Trump has just been called into action “border tsar” refuted media claims that the new administration would expel U.S. citizens as part of Trump’s mass expulsion plan to secure the southern border.

On Monday’s “Hannity,” Fox News host Sean Hannity asked former acting ICE Director Tom Homan if the new administration would deport legal U.S. citizens after this claim was made that day on ABC’s “The View.”

“No, exactly not,” Homan said. “Look, ‘The view“is such an island of misfit toys. They don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Homan was responding to comments from “The View” co-host Ana Navarro, who argued that U.S. citizens would be deported under Trump’s plan so as not to separate mixed immigration status households. She also claimed there were not enough criminal illegal aliens in the country to carry out a mass deportation plan.

“When you talk about mass deportations, people think, ‘Oh, it’ll just be the criminals.’ There are not enough criminals, aliens in the federal prison system for there to be mass deportations,” Navarro said on Monday’s show.

“It means grandmothers, brothers and aunts, abuelos and abuelas, dreamers. It means family members, it means your colleagues,” she continued.

Homan pushed back against Navarro’s claims while he was in “Hannity.

“President Trump has made it clear that we will prioritize threats to public safety and national security. And that’s what we should be focused on,” he said.

“There are over 1.5 million convicted criminal aliens in this country with final orders of deportation that we are going to pursue. There are thousands of gang members, illegal alien gang members that we’re going to search. Now I’m going to say, if you’re in the country illegally, you shouldn’t feel comfortable Absolutely not, I won’t feel comfortable if I’m in the country illegally If. I’m in another country illegally, I’m not.”

Tom Homan

Tom Homan refutes ABC’s “The View” claims that Trump is deporting legal U.S. citizens as part of his mass deportation plan.

Homan also promised that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would have the authority to prosecute the 425,000 illegal immigrants convicted of crimes and is currently at large in the United States, according to a recent ICE report.

“We’re going to get them,” Homan told Hannity.

“And I saw today many governors sanctuary states saying they are going to stand in the way. They’d better get out of the way. Either help us or stay away, because ICE is going to do its job. We’re going to take the handcuffs off ICE that the Biden administration put on them and let ICE do what it does, what it does best,” he added.

“And let me go back to ‘The View’ and Joe Biden,” Homan continued. “They promised, this administration promised that they would focus on criminal aliens. That was their priority. Secretary Mayorkas said that. I looked at the statistics today, the deportation of criminal aliens is in down 74% compared to President Trump We have There are more criminals here than ever so we have a lot of targets there and the men and women of this new administration are going to look for them in the sanctuary cities. cities don’t want to help? Get out of the way. I’ll double the numbers in this sanctuary city. We’re going to do our job, despite the politics, we’re getting there.

Homan, Trump’s new border czar, is a former New York State Police officer and former Border Patrol agent. He was hired by the Obama administration to lead ICE’s enforcement and deportation operations and received an award for his efforts in deporting illegal immigrants.

When Trump was elected in 2016, he named Homan acting director of the entire agency, and Homan became one of the main faces of the first Trump administration during its early years and a staunch defender of wider expulsions. President-elect Trump has promised to launch a “historic” mass deportation campaign during his second term.
