Finding and visiting places you’re unfamiliar with can be difficult, but it’s always worth it if you want to claim as much XP as possible. If you need help navigating this daily quest, here is how to search for containers in base camps in Fortnite Remixes.

To complete the quest to find containers in base camps, you must find and open a total of three containers at these places. You can open three in one, one in one each, or interrupt this process in any other way that seems appropriate to you. All that matters is that you manage to find three containers to open.

Containers include any type of interactive element that you can open. This means you can open ammo boxes, chests, large ammo boxes and any other type of container you find to progress in this quest.

As the base camps are quite small, it can be difficult to find enough loot to complete this quest. You may need to travel to multiple camps or revisit the same one across multiple matches to complete this task. For the best chance of completing it in one go, head to a base camp directly from the battle bus.

Opening the containers is simple enough, but finding base camps is a little trickier since they are landmarks rather than main POIs. This means that they are not marked by name on the map and are much smaller.

All Base Camp Locations in Fortnite Remix

There are three base camps that you can visit to complete the Base Camp Research Containers quest. These are Base camp hotel, Base Camp GolfAnd Foxtrot Base Camp. All three are located near the southern end of the map.

  • Base camp hotel can be found near the southeast end of the map. It’s a small camp located on a high snowy mountain with many tents all around. There’s usually not much loot, so completing the daily quest here is difficult unless you get lucky. Make sure to smash the tents with your pickaxe as they sometimes contain chests that you can open hidden inside.
  • Base Camp Golf is located between the two other camps on another snowy mountain quite close to the previous one. This one is also quite small and usually doesn’t have much to grip. Be very careful if you search for containers here, as there is another landmark right next to it and you may accidentally walk into it while looting. Any loot you get from the other waypoint won’t count toward the quest, so pay attention to the waypoint name in the lower left corner to make sure you’re in the correct area before opening the containers.
  • Foxtrot Base Camp is the only base camp that is not covered in snow. It is located near the south central edge of the map. I had the most luck finding a lot of loot in this location since it’s a bit larger than the other two, so I recommend trying this location first for the daily quest.

This is one of several daily quests you might face that requires you to hunt down hard-to-find locations. Another one you might encounter will task you with collecting items on Crash Site or Crashed Cargo, so it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with as many landmarks as possible to prepare yourself for any daily quests you might face .

If you want to explore additional new locations on the map, you can work on two secret quests next to earn lots of XP. One quest involves finding all the secret Gnome locations around the island, while the other continues the quest. Fortnite lore with some audio logs recorded by Hope.
