Although he could easily be one of the richest and most powerful individuals in the United States, Shark tank director Ken Fuchs, he won’t cut it when it comes to being a shark. The venture capitalists investing in these projects are at the top of their game. For example, the most famous of them is the tech billionaire. Marc Cuban who is also the minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks (NBA).

Besides him, other high-profile judges include Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner and Daymond John. The show director also added that Shark tank made it easier for children to understand several business terminologies. For example, he revealed that his son’s school had organized a Shark tank symposium. He added “These kids know all the language. Convertible debt, they know the royalties.

Shark tank isn’t the only show Ken Fuchs is involved with. For example, he also worked in The Bachelor franchise as director and in the syndicated game show Family quarrel. Towards the end of the interview, he also added that venture capitalists have no idea about the products or the investors.

How did a college dropout turn his failure into success on Shark Tank?

Brandon Echols and Darien Craig created their company Y’all Sweet Tea Shark tank and quickly impressed the Sharks with their pitching. The childhood friends have known each other since they were six years old and even went to school and university together.

Not only that, but they also dropped out of college together and founded the company in 2021, all thanks to a major setback in life. Craig was fired from his job and left with $7 in his bank account. On the the company’s websitehe shared the same and added which led to the creation of Y’all Sweet Tea. Craig added:

The week I got fired, I had $7 to my name. (Craig added) With the last paycheck I received, I used the $300 from that check to purchase the first pots, sugar and tea that would eventually catapult this idea.

His determination paid off and the company currently sells its products directly to approximately 600 grocery stores in the southeastern United States. On the show, the duo entered to ask for $500,000 in exchange for 5% equity in their business. Rashaun Williams, who was a guest judge at the time, immediately offered $500,000 for 10% equity.

Even Kevin O’Leary wanted in and presented a joint offer with Willliams giving $500,000 for 20%, which the investors would split in half. Lori Greiner also added another joint offer to the table, with Williams offering $500,000 for 15%. Ultimately, the duo decided to leave with Greiner and Williams.
