Chris Cuomo silence a viewer chatting with the president-elect Donald Trump does not want to “unite” the country during his second term.

Thursday The Chris Cuomo Project podcast, Cuomo responded to a viewer by saying that Trump can “continue division” and is “very comfortable doing that.”

“Call me negative, but I don’t think ‘unification’ will be a priority,” the viewer wrote, responding to Cuomo previously saying Trump “needs” to address the country’s political and cultural divisions when he will be back at the White House.

“It’s because you don’t understand leadership and governance versus antagonism and campaigning. The reason the phrase “You campaign in poetry, you govern in prose” has – you’re like, “What, who said that? You’re right. You’re not a student of the game,” Cuomo responded. “You rely on how you feel and negativity as an indicator of insight.”

Cuomo added: “It’s you, okay? “You don’t know me.” I don’t want to know you. I tell you how you present yourself, as a doctor would say, this is how you present yourself. “That’s not who I am.” I don’t care who you are. This is how you introduce yourself, and this is how you came to me.

Cuomo argued that Trump “is best served by no longer being the spirit animal of the right-wing outraged” and that he will care about his legacy, which right now is incredibly divisive. He told the viewer that he also had more knowledge on the issue since he knew Trump.

“The reason Donald Trump isn’t sticking with what got him here is because it won’t get him where he wants to be – and what is that? Greatness. Donald Trump understands that he is not considered great in the pages of history. He is not. It’s an asterisk, it’s a scandal, it’s a reduction in standards,” he said. “That’s what he is, and that’s not what he wants to be.” How do I know I’m right and you’re not? Well, first of all, I know him and you don’t.
