Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal appear to be returning to their best with an excellent performance against Nottingham Forest.

Goals from Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey either side of half-time looked to be more than enough to seal all three points in north London, but perhaps the day belongs to another Hale End graduate; Ethan Nwaneri.

After replacing Martin Ødegaard in the 82nd minute, the 17-year-old Enfield-born midfielder needed just four minutes on the pitch to bury his first ever Premier League goal for his boyhood club.

Nwaneri thus became the club’s second youngest scorer in the PL behind another former prodigy, Cesc Fàbregas.

Another one for the future.
