    Six airbags and a 360-degree camera: what pushes Maruti Suzuki Dzire to achieve a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test

    The fourth generation of Maruti Suzuki Dziré was launched in India on November 11, marking one of the country’s biggest automotive events of 2024. The next-generation model of the subcompact sedan has not only incorporated a plethora of updates on design and features before, but also received a new engine, which is shared by the new generation Maruti Suzuki Fast launched earlier this year. In addition to this, the new Dzire has also achieved a five-star Global NCAP safety rating. The sedan achieved the highest safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test, becoming the first-ever Maruti Suzuki car to achieve five stars in the GNCAP crash test.

    Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Standard Safety Features

    The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire subcompact sedan is based on the Japanese automaker’s next-generation HEARTECT platform. It comes with a host of safety features available as standard on different variants of the Dzire.

    Standard safety features of the new generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire include six airbags, including dual front, side and curtain airbags. Other standard safety features of the sedan include ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist (HHA), Engine Immobilizer, Rear Defogger, Seat Belts three-point sensor for all occupants, high speed warning alert, rear defogger, speed-sensing automatic door locks, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, etc. The new Dzire also gets front seat belts with pretensioner and force limiter, while seat belt reminder light and buzzer for all occupants are also available as standard equipment for the sedan.

    Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Optional safety features

    Some of the safety features of the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire subcompact sedan are available only in the higher variants of the car. Features such as a rear view camera, 360 degree surround view HD camera, anti-theft security system (crash sensor), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and day/day adjustable rear view mirror Night are available on the higher variants of fourth generation Dzire.
