What the oddsmakers think will happen

No. 14 LSU (6-2, 3-1) enters Saturday night at Tiger Stadium hoping to stay alive in the College Football Playoff race as a battle with Alabama draws closer.

All eyes will be on the Top 15 showdown in Baton Rouge, with both programs looking to make a statement in Southeastern Conference play.

For the Bayou Bengals, it will be about getting the ball into the hands of their playmakers while diversifying the playbook to keep the Crimson Tide on their toes.

“I think we have guys like Aaron Anderson, Mason Taylor and even Kyren Lacy was big for us on third down,” Brian Kelly said Monday. “We need to be more consistent across the board and create a little more uncertainty about what we’re doing. Making sure we can get the ball to the playmakers, but including the screen game, the bad direction and the running game to create a little more uncertainty.”

Predictions are pouring in for Saturday night’s showdown in the Bayou State.

Here we’ve taken into account current betting odds, betting trends, what punters suggest and a score prediction from an expert model:
