Who is out and what it means for Week 9

CHARLOTTE — Friday, Saints excluded four players for the Week 9 game against the Panthers. Since then, Bub Means (ankle) and Kendre Miller (hamstring) have continued injured reserve. Here’s a look at who else will be out for New Orleans in its must-win game against Carolina.

Jamaal Williams was downgraded and did not make the trip

The big storyline here for the Saints is that they will be at cornerback with Alontae Taylor being their only healthy and consistent player at the position. Ugo Amadi could step into the slot when needed, and we expect Shemar Jean-Charles to start opposite Taylor. Tre Herndon, who recently joined the team’s practice squad, was called up this week.

At running back, New Orleans will roll with Alvin Kamara and Jordan Mims. We would also expect to see a bit more of Taysom Hill. Marquez Valdes-Scantling will make his debut for the black and gold.
