Dennis: We owe a lot to Mayor Dickey’s leadership

Sharon Dennis | Fountain Hills

There are a few in this town who must live in a half-empty world. Their negativity, their lies, their deceptive approach makes me wonder how happy they can be in everyday life. But it’s not me. I still have half-full vision, which is very different.

We live in one of the safest communities in the state. We have stunning, modern, award-winning parks. The city continues to live within its financial means. The value of our properties continues to grow. Our windows are filling with local businesses. We have close access to regional facilities including airports, sports, shopping and entertainment. We are known for our fairs, Thanksgiving Parade, Walk in the Glow and other local events. We have that “small town” charm and vibe

Of course we have more needs and wants. But compared to other communities, we live in a large community – adjacent to a large metropolitan area.

So I voted to re-elect Mayor Ginny Dickey. It’s thanks to her that we got here. And I share his vision for the city’s future and, indeed, his version of what our community really is. We owe him a lot for his leadership.
