THE Nashville Predators will face the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday at Bridgestone Arena in a clash between slumping Central Division rivals.

Nashville (3-6-1) had perhaps its worst performance of the season in Thursday’s 5-1 loss to Edmonton. The loss ended a streak of four consecutive games with at least one point. The Preds will play home games against Colorado and Los Angeles before a road trip in mid-November.

Colorado (5-6-0) has also had an uneven start to the season, although much of that is due to injuries and Alexandar Georgiev’s poor October. But Nathan MacKinnon (5 goals, 13 assists), Cale Makar (4 goals, 15 assists) and Mikko Rantanen (4 goals, 11 assists) produce. The Avs lost their first four games, then won their next five before losing 5-2 to Chicago and Tampa Bay earlier this week.
