(Gray News) – Dolly Parton’s older brother, David Parton, has died, according to their younger sister.

Stella Parton did a post onformerly Twitter, announcing the death Friday morning.

“My brother David passed away peacefully this morning. It’s never easy saying goodbye to a loved one, but they got their angel wings and are now at peace,” she wrote.

David Parton was one of Dolly Parton’s 11 siblings. Their parents had six boys and six girls.

According to Dolly Parton websiteDavid Parton was the second oldest. Dolly Parton, 78, is the fourth oldest.

Further information about David Parton’s death was not yet available.
