Will 2024 see more early voters in Westchester than 2020? Where is the number located?

Will early voter turnout in Westchester County’s 2024 general election surpass 2020? A figure released Friday afternoon showed the county was getting closer.

Some 130,307 votes have been cast so far, Frank Corvino, Democratic deputy commissioner of the Westchester County Board of Elections, said shortly after 1:45 p.m. Friday.

In 2020, early voting totaled 153,832 people over a full nine-day period, the figures show.

Early voting began October 26 and continues in New York State through Sunday, November 3. There will be no early voting Monday. Tuesday, November 5 is election day, polling stations will open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

A presidential election year can significantly increase turnout. During the year 2023 non-presidential electionthere were only 30,924 early votes cast in Westchester.

Where can you vote early in Westchester?

Westchester County has 25 early voting sites. Registered voters in the county can vote at any of the following locations, regardless of their address:

  • Croton Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck Street, Croton-on-Hudson

  • Eastchester Public Library, 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester

  • Greenburgh City Hall, 177 Hillside Ave., White Plains

  • Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library, 7 Maple Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson

  • St. Gregory the Great Church, 215 Halstead Ave., Harrison

  • Downtown Mamaroneck, 740 W. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck

  • Mount Kisco Public Library, 100 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco

  • Mount Pleasant Community Center, 125 Lozza Drive, Valhalla

  • Joseph G. Caputo Community Center, 95 Broadway, Ossining

Putnam County has three early voting sites this year:

  • North Highlands Fire Station, 504 Fishkill Rd., Cold Spring

  • Putnam County Golf Course, 187 Hill Street, Mahopac

Where can you vote early in Rockland?

Rockland County has five early voting sites this year. Registered voters in the county can vote at any of the following locations, regardless of their address:

  • Clarkstown City Hall, 10 Maple Avenue, New Town

  • Haverstraw Town Hall, 1 Rosman Road, Garnerville

  • Orangetown City Hall, 26 West Orangeburg Road, Orangeburg

  • Ramapo City Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern

  • Stony Point Kirkbride Hall, 5 Clubhouse Ln., Stony Point

What times will early voting be open?

Putnam:

  • Friday, November 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Saturday, November 2, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Sunday, November 3, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rockland:

  • Friday, November 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Saturday, November 2, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Sunday, November 3, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Westchester:

  • Friday, November 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Saturday November 2, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Sunday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
