Paul Perez, president of the National Border Patrol Council, criticized the Democratic presidential candidate for ignoring the issue of “Kamala migrant crime” during his Friday visit to Houston, where 12-year-old resident Jocelyn Nungaray was in June murdered. In a mid-October Fox News interviewHarris was asked if she owed Nungaray’s mother and other families an apology.

Also Friday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) called on Harris to declare the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua a foreign terrorist organization during his visit to Houston.

“In fact, she is today in Houston, the same city where innocent 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was raped and murdered by two members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Jocelyn, her family and all Americans deserve better,” Abbott said in a statement.

“Vice President Harris must follow Texas’ lead and immediately designate Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization,” said Abbott, who declared the TDA a foreign terrorist organization in September. “But this is just the beginning.
