Border union criticizes Harris for rally with Beyoncé

Border Patrol union head blasted vice president Kamala Harris for choosing to “party like an idiot” in Houston with singer Beyoncé rather than meeting families from crime victims allegedly killed by illegal immigrants admitted into the country under his watch.

Paul Perez, president of the National Border Patrol Council, criticized the Democratic presidential candidate for ignoring the issue of “Kamala migrant crime” during his Friday visit to Houston, where 12-year-old resident Jocelyn Nungaray was in June murdered. Two suspects were identified as illegal immigrants.

“I want to talk about the person who is going to come to Houston tonight, not to apologize or denounce the illegal alien crime, but to party like a fool on stage with celebrities instead of apologizing to the families ” Perez said Friday afternoon at an event for former President Donald Trump in Austin, Texas.

“He’s someone who likes to brag about being a former federal prosecutor, who prosecuted transnational gangs and cartel members,” Perez said. “She knew better than anyone, President Trump – she knew better than anyone – the threat that these people, these animals create. The threat they pose to our community that will harm our families and these bastards listed here in these photos here are part of Kamala’s crime wave.

Alexis Nungaray, Jocelyn’s mother, joined Trump at the event and said she had not yet heard from Harris following her daughter’s death.

“Kamala Harris never contacted me,” Nungaray said.

In a mid-October Fox News interviewHarris was asked if she owed Nungaray’s mother and other families an apology.

“These are tragic cases. There’s no doubt about it,” said Harris, who added that she couldn’t “imagine the pain that the families of these victims felt for a loss that should not have happened.”

Also Friday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) called on Harris to declare the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua a foreign terrorist organization during his visit to Houston.

“In fact, she is today in Houston, the same city where innocent 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was raped and murdered by two members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Jocelyn, her family and all Americans deserve better,” Abbott said in a statement.

“Vice President Harris must follow Texas’ lead and immediately designate Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization,” said Abbott, who declared the TDA a foreign terrorist organization in September. “But this is just the beginning. The Biden-Harris administration must use the full weight of the federal government to eradicate them once and for all – for Jocelyn and for all Americans.

Harris is in Texas to shine a spotlight on reproductive freedom in a state that banned most abortions after the Supreme Court overturned the ruling. Roe v. Wade. With help from Houston native Beyonce, whose song “Freedom” became the Democratic nominee’s campaign anthem, Harris also hopes to bolster Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), who is seeking to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). .

“In just four years as president, Donald Trump has managed to erase a half-century of hard-won progress for women,” Harris is expected to say, according to excerpts of her remarks. “And now he wants to go even further. Let’s be clear: If Donald Trump wins again, he will ban abortion nationwide.”

Trump’s visit to Austin consisted of recording an interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan. It coincided with an open letter to voters signed Friday by 200 former federal border and immigration agents, endorsing Trump over Harris.
