Chicago voting times

On Election Day, Chicago polling stations open at 6:00 a.m. and close to 7:00 p.m.. This schedule gives voters plenty of time to vote, whether they choose to vote early in the morning or later in the evening.

Where to vote in Chicago

To find your designated polling location, visit Chicago Board of Election Commissioners website. By entering your address, you can access details about your specific polling location, including updates that may occur before the election.

For Election Day, November 5, 2024, voters have the following options:

  • At their designated polling place from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Click here to find your assigned voting location. You can only vote at the polling station assigned to you. If you attempt to vote at another location in your precinct, you will need to vote with a provisional ballot.
  • In one of the 51 open voting centers from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Locations in 50 precincts and the Central Supersite (191 N. Clark) will be available as voting centers on Election Day. Any voter can vote at any polling center on election day, regardless of where they live in the city.
