This season has been quite disappointing overall for the Air Force Falconsbut these last two weeks have seemed completely different.

It’s too late to turn around enough for a bowl game, but finishing the season with a few wins is never a bad thing. Last weekend against the Oregon State Beavers It was the best win of the year, at least so far.

Focus on professional football released their weekly ratings for the game and both sides of the ball received some love, representing the hawks GOOD.

Hayes completely reversed the offensive since taking the starting job. He’s been at least competitive in three of his four starts, with two going for wins.

Last weekend was his second straight two-touchdown performance. He ran the ball 17 times for 84 yards and those two scores. He also finished all five of his passes over 110 yards.

He is expected to start the final two games of the season and enter the offseason as the de facto starter for next year. Perhaps their three-season streak could have stayed alive if they had followed its path earlier in the year.

Even though it was a difficult year for much of the defense, Zdroik had some great outings. He lost his starting position a few weeks ago, but had a great impact against the Beavers despite a diminished role.

He only made one tackle that day, but had three quarterback pressures, including a hit.

It was his best day as a runner since Week 3, with the senior finding ways to impact the game while not seeing many looks in run defense.

Goff missed almost all of last season, but came back and continued to be at least a solid defender.

He got his first interception since 2022 on Saturday, providing excellent coverage for much of the game. It was only targeted twice, the other target spanning nine meters.

The senior has been a reliable tackler throughout his career and this game was no different as he made three tackles and didn’t miss any.

He leads the team in tackles and is tied for the team lead in interceptions and pass breakups. He is tied for third with three tackles for loss.
