Drought is spreading across New Jersey and there will be no rain in the near future

The weather hasn’t changed much. Dry air remains firmly fixed over the area. There was a weak system passing through very early Thursday morning. Even a few raindrops were measured in northwestern New Jersey. But despite the morning showers and drizzle, the state is approaching its all-time record drought rate.

The only noticeable change in the forecast was in temperature; The 70s and 80s were pushed south by this front and replaced by a slightly more seasonal air mass. Temperatures today were in the 60s and lower 70s (Normally 64).

TONIGHT: The wind will gradually die down this evening. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the 30s and 40s with clear skies and less wind.

COMING: Sunny skies tomorrow and throughout the weekend. It’s a little cooler and more fall weather is moving in. The highest levels were reached in the 50s and 60s.

Guides continue to paint a dreary (dry) weather forecast for the region, likely lasting until the first week of November. This will not only break the succession of dry days, it will destroy it.
