YouTube searches for Joe Rogan’s Interview with Donald Trump on October 25 were not “prominently” displaying the original episode of the podcast – a situation the Google-owned video giant said it has now rectified.

“For some searches on Monday, the original three-hour interview did not appear prominently,” YouTube said in a statement. “Short clips uploaded by the Joe Rogan channel appeared, but we know it was frustrating for users trying to find the full video. We’ve worked to resolve this issue and viewers will soon start seeing the full podcast in more YouTube search results.

Earlier Monday, Rogan reposted a comment from David Heinemeier Hansson, CTO of software company Basecamp, who said: “I tried to find the Rogan/Trump interview on YouTube, but no matter what I search, it doesn’t appear. It would be beyond crazy if they actively tried to suppress it. This must be a problem, right? » Heinemeier Hansson’s post included a video showing a number of Rogan-Trump clips appearing in YouTube search results, but not the full episode of “Joe Rogan Experience.”

Since it was posted online Friday, Trump’s interview has generated more than 35 million views on YouTube. This makes it Rogan’s most-watched episode of the year so far, according to YouTube.
