The NFL fined New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams $45,020 for roughness/unnecessary use of helmet during Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was the largest fine of Week 7 in the NFL.

Williams led with his helmet on a tackle on Jaylen Warren on a play near the goal line in the third quarter. There appeared to be a skirmish after the play, but no penalty was called on the field. It’s unclear if Williams appealed the fine, but I imagine he would. This is a heavy fine for a piece that was not really blatant.
