Cowboys offer encouraging update on Micah Parsons injury

Micah Parsons has been out since week 4 after suffering from a high ankle sprain during the Dallas Cowboys defeat the New York Giants.

With its best passer sidelined, the defense struggled to consistently get after the quarterback. They got a solid outing in Week 9 from Carl Lawson when he checked in two bagsbut such performances were lacking this year.

Dallas is set to play its first NFC East game since Parsons was injured, but has some good news. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Parsons will practice on a limited basis Wednesday.

The Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles 6-2. At 3-5, they need to go on a winning streak to get back into contention and handing the Eagles a loss could provide a spark.

Parsons’ presence on the field seems to be a necessity to achieve this victory. Dak Prescott is out, meaning their offensive leader won’t be on the field. However, getting their top defender back would give Cooper Rush a better chance of avoiding a shootout.
