Former first lady Michelle Obama took the stage in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to a roaring ovation before introducing the vice president.

Obama, in his first campaign appearance since the DNC, spoke of Harris’ mature temperament and her history of working for all Americans.

“Michigan, don’t buy into the lie that we don’t understand who Kamala is or what she stands for,” she said.

“Believe me, I know good people,” Obama said.

She wondered “why the hell is this race still close,” but argued that Kamala had shown she was up for the job.

“The real question is: are we ready for this moment?” Obama said.

The former first lady said she was angry at Donald Trump’s indifference to his history of division, bias and lack of interest in democracy.

“Some people find him funny. That’s how he got elected the first time. People gave him a pass and rolled the dice, betting he couldn’t be that bad,” he said. she declared.

“Nothing this man says or does is funny,” Obama later added.

The former first lady addressed the men in the crowd, discussing the issues of women’s health and reproductive rights in the event of a Trump victory.

She spoke about the loss many women have suffered over the past three years due to the loss of reproductive care following the Dobbs decision and the dangers if Trump insisted on more restrictions.

“Your girlfriend could be in danger if she needs a pill from out of state or overseas, or if she has to cross state lines because the clinic is closed. Your Your wife or mother may be at greatest risk of dying from undiagnosed cervical cancer because they don’t have access to regular gynecological care. ‘I’d like to call the doctor if she’s bleeding during an unexpected pregnancy,’ she said.
